I decided to use the fitness program P90X because of the testimonials. Seriously, have you seen those late night infomercials? Every time they’re on tv, I can’t help but watch. Also, I tried day 1 of 90 once (sort of as a trial) and for the next 5 days, my body felt like a stampede of angry hippo’s had run over me, so I’m pretty sure it’s the real deal. I also like that the program can all be done from “home”, and while I enjoy the social aspect of working out in a gym, it will be convenient being able to work out in my birthday suit. Just kidding.
I also like that P90X really maps out exactly what needs to be done to achieve success – including a detailed diet / nutrition plan. Ultimately, it’s up to me to work hard and to follow the routine, but so long as I can do these things, I’m pretty much guaranteed impressive results. It’s like having my own personal trainer – only I can turn him off when I feel like crying, or pause him when I need to take a vomit break.
In all seriousness, everything I’ve heard about P90X is that it works as long as you commit to the program. I’ve heard it’s very hard, but I’m up for the challenge.
